IELTS Speaking Part 2 Question

An interesting person you never met but you would like to know more about him or her

You should say:

  • Who this person is
  • How you knew him/her
  • Why you think he/she is interesting
  • And explain how you feel about this person

Sample Answer

The person I would like to know more about is Elon Musk. I first heard about him through news articles and social media. He is the CEO of companies like Tesla and SpaceX, and he is always in the headlines for his ambitious projects, like sending people to Mars or developing electric cars. What makes Elon Musk so interesting to me is his vision for the future. He doesn’t just think about making money; he wants to solve big problems, like climate change and space exploration. For example, Tesla’s electric cars are helping to reduce pollution, and SpaceX is working to make space travel more affordable. I admire his creativity and determination. Even though I’ve never met him, I feel inspired by his ideas. Sometimes I imagine what it would be like to talk to him and ask him how he comes up with such big plans. I think he would be a fascinating person to meet because he sees the world differently and isn’t afraid to take risks. That’s why I would love to know more about him.
